History of the Group is a saga of unprecedented growth, expansion and diversification. In 1961, the Group started as a sole proprietorship under the name of International Steel and General Agencies under the able, inspiring guidance of its founder Nawab Syed Askari Hussain.
 
Initially, the Group began its activities in the field of Iron and Steel, in 1964, the Group introduced Fiat Agricultural Tractors and complete range of Fiat Allis and Ursus Peroni Earth Moving and Road Construction Equipment in Pakistan.
 
With its capabilities and technical know-how, building up to more advanced levels, the Group embarked not only on an ambitious phase of expansion but also diversification into completely new sectors and areas such as Agriculture Machinery, Implements, Plant Protection Equipment, Earth Moving & Road Construction Equipment, Alternate Power Generation, Fisheries, Cattle Farming, Poultry, Floriculture and Horticulture.

Cesco Pakistan is a part of the group, it started its activities in environment protection in 1992, by establishing a joint venture company with M/s. Stephenson Shelton & Associates of Auckland New Zealand, for setting up of CNG Refueling Stations and CNG Conversion Centers throughout Pakistan.
 
Cesco has a vast and extensive experience in the Specification and Installation of CNG Refueling Stations for Automotive & Public Transport sector.
 
Cesco also carries out Delayed OEM Conversions for OEM Manufacturers in Pakistan for their Automobiles to CNG after they have been produced in Pakistan or Imported in CBU condition. To ensure safe usage of CNG, Cesco provides training for customers at all levels for safe operation, installation and repair of CNG Equipment with emphasis being on right application of appropriate safety standards.
